...and yet, it's in the Winter that people get depressed (if they have SAD) which is when (in the UK) we can get proper darkness all night. Other factors at play, presumably.
I've posted this either here or on other forums before, but I'll say it again...while I personally sleep in a totally dark room, I have trouble believing that man is not adapted to sleeping by the fire / under the stars / under a full moon.
