Wii Fit is only good in the geriatric population. it could probably help them with balance.
I was completely sedentary and lost 30 lbs with my Wii Fit while improving my strength, flexibility, and balance. I've used it over 500 times (it keeps track) and it was something of a gateway activity which led me into other exercise methods such as kettlebells and barbells. Now I pretty much just use it for active recovery.
