It is all about general activity levels rather than vigorous activity....

The study found that the time spent sedentary, as opposed to the vigor of physical activity, was significantly and negatively correlated with a number of metabolic risk factors.

It's been so heavily on my mind lately....

It's the continues slower paced activity that really makes us strong and generally feel good.

I for example hgave to sit. Studying heavy material isn't very comfortable, if you need to read everything several times, underline/write down stuff and study for (8+) hours a day. It may work for some routine stuff.
So I go for those 50/10 chunks + daily walking. I think standing desk is just a trend that will fade away.
