Natural bodybuilding

hat tip.

My interest in bodybuilding dwindled when I realised the influence of steroids. I saw friends grow massive on gear and I just stayed the same as a disillusioned natural! My story is similar to this one.

What is instructive in this video is how "normal" a lot of these guys look. They look good, athletic but not huge.

Thanks for the linkage Chris. There's definately a point one reaches when training for size when it becomes clear that the law of diminishing returns threatens to create an all-consuming obsession. It's how someone reacts at this point that sets people appart from one another. Whilst I respect those who go for a natural bodybuilding approach more than those who go for the steroid approach, and indeed anyone who puts in the kind of commitment necessary to achieve excellence via either method, I think the average smart-thinking person will back off once they realise they cannot just keep getting bigger without it taking over their life.

You have to appreciate the dedication of these guys but on watching that I am always reminded of my father-in-law's opinion of bodybuilding ('a form of masturbation')!

For me the big issue is that what you saw in that video is likely very different from how those guys look out of competition. And in addition, they are probably not as strong or agile as you'd imagine.

Check out Yang Wei here. Like Keith, Yang is a guy with muscle AND the hustle! Even out of season, Yang is gonna still be strong. Such fitness is prefereable to bodybuilding IMHO.

Agreed - most top gymnasts could walk into the top 3 in a natural bodybuilding contest (maybe?)

Thats a great video. I have been thinking of getting into natural body building for sometime now. I have always trained for athletic performance and I want to crossover into body building. I saw some of my favorite strength and conditioning exercises in the video. I'm going to start playing with more reps and more weight.

I am a natural bodybuilding trainer and and a natural bodybuilder myself..I dont even use fat burners. I just rely on creatine, whey protein and bcaa.. I have a good background on nutrition.. thats help me in my natural bodybuilding.. I really appreciate this video and I have a vision for natural bodybuilding itself.. And I can also see that natural bodybuilding is becoming more and more popular, atleast I am getting more clients for natural bodybuilding.. So keep it up guys.. keep training natural, cause that's what you are.. bodybuilders who use steroids or abuse supplements are fake and it will not stay for long...
