Barefoot professor

I referred to this study a few days ago (also here). Here is an interview with the professor.

From Nature:

Harvard professor Daniel Lieberman has ditched his trainers and started running barefoot. His research shows that barefoot runners, who tend to land on their forefoot, generate less impact shock than runners in sports shoes who land heel first. This makes barefoot running comfortable and could minimize running-related injuries. Read more here ... and find the original research here.

I know I always seem to citing coincidences in the comments, but they're all genuine, and here's another: yesterday in the park I saw my first barefoot runner. He was just jogging as he had a dog on a lead, but the impressive thing to me was that he was running on the path - a nasty crushed stone asphalt, a bit like sandpaper scaled up - it's one of the surfaces I find most difficult when walking barefoot, but he seemed to be not in any discomfort.

By the way, regarding the earlier short videos of shod and barefoot stresses, the total impact was actually the same maximum - just distributed differently.

Hey would you mind giving me some advices and tips about how to manage my own blog? I just started the project and I'd like to personalize it a little bit more, you know, like adding my own categories at the sides of the window and setting new backgrounds.
