I'm reading about this everywhere! Thanks for this. I just started training barefoot to try to regain some foot strength. INterestingly some of my nagging pains post exercise just weren't there after doing my workout barefoot.
I'm really interested in this as I've had a lot of problems with my feet over the years and they're starting to hurt now even on gentle walks and even with the best most expensive shoes supposedly designed specifically for my condition (severe pronation).However I can't source a pair of Vibrams - even Australia won't send them here, so I'm just going to have to find a strip of grass and pre-check it for glass/nails before I use it.Of course it may be too late for me to correct the posture of a lifetime ...
Stop the presses!I just checked back on the Vibrams site as a matter of routine, and they've now got a NZ distributor. Yeehaa! In Rotorua (long way from here), but I'm sure they'd do by courier.Maybe that letter I sent to Vibrams way back (to which I got no reply) bore some fruit after all.
